In LaWanda: The Book of Hope, LaWanda attended an assembly at Garfield High School. Despite Jefferson's efforts to calm and reassure the parents, LaWanda spoke out in anger.[1]
In LaWanda: The Book of Burial, her funeral was held at the Freeland United Methodist Church. Reverend Jeremiah Holt and others followed in her footsteps in standing up to the 100.[2]
In Equinox: The Book of Fate, her spirit visits the resurrected Latavius and questioned him if he remembered murdering her before disappearing, leaving a brand on his left chest.[3]

LaWanda is a slim, middle-aged woman with shortly cropped hair.
Personality
Relentless and brave, LaWanda refused to back down to gang-members. Which untimely was the cause of her death. She searched vigorously for justice for her daughter.
