China Anne McClain is an American actress and singer. She is best known for Daddy's Little Girls, House of Payne, and A.N.T. Farm.
Biography[]
China was born in Atlanta, Georgia, to Michel and Shontell McClain. Her father is a music producer, and her mother is a songwriter. She was discovered in 2005 by a music executive, who encouraged Rob Hardy to cast her in the movie The Gospel. Her role caught the attention of Tyler Perry, and she went on to be cast as Jazmine Payne in her breakout role in Tyler Perry's House of Payne. Afterwards, she went on to appear in many shows and movies. In 2011, she was as the lead role, Chyna Parks, in the Disney Channel show A.N.T. Farm. That same year, she and her sisters signed with Hollywood Records but left the label in 2013. She recently played Uma in the Disney Channel Original movie Descendants 2 and Descendants 3. She an her family currently reside in their hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.
