Chenoa is a character in Black Lightning.

Throughout the Series

Season 1

In LaWanda: The Book of Hope, she was first seen in bed nude making out with Anissa Pierce. She told Anissa how she wanted more from their relationship. She explained how they've been dating for a year, but hadn't met her parents nor her friends. Anissa told her about all the things she has been busy with, and accused Chenoa of trying to get her to give up the things she loves. Chenoa denied it and apologized and said it wasn't the right time to bring the topic up. She asked Anissa how was she coping with what happened to her. Anissa told her about the sink she broken which confused Chenoa. When Anissa continued trying to explain what happened, Chenoa dismisses it as Anissa needing a therapist. She promised that they would find her a good one before they continued kissing and having sex with one another.

Later on, she and Anissa walked home from hanging out and she was asleep beside Anissa when she went to the drug store.[1]

In LaWanda: The Book of Burial, she walked into the bar to find Anissa dancing with Grace Choi. She accused Anissa of cheating on her with Grace, but Anissa said all they were doing was dancing. Chenoa called Anissa a whore, and almost got into a fight with her. Grace intervened and told them to take it outside. She walked off as Anissa followed. Anissa later revealed that they broke up.

Physical Appearance

Chenoa is a slender, dark-skinned woman who was the girlfriend/partner of Anissa. She has short, black hair.

Personality

Unfortunately, her personality is relatively unseen throughout her few appearances. She seems to become easily jealous and protective of her partners (for example: Anissa when she was dancing with Grace)

Trivia

  • She is the second LGBT character on the show. The first being Anissa and the third Grace Choi.
